It's Time To Let Go!

Matthew 6: 25-30
25 "Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is life more than food and the body more than clothing?
26 "Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?
27 "Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?
28 "So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin;
29 "and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
30 "Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?

Regardless of what happened to our economic, Jesus who is the same yesterday, today and forever says to you and me "Don't worry". If you don't worry, not only will you be fed but you will have quality food. If you don't worry, not only will you be clothed but you will have quality body.

If you are at the road side or at your garden, you will find birds are packing their foods on the road or on your garden pieces of glass. They don't have any savings account with the banks and they don't have any money to pay but our heavenly Father feeds them! When you don't worry God's supplies will flow in your life. Wo wo wo! Are you trying to say that "if I let go, God will provide is it"? Exactly! "So i just don't do anything la and sitting down there and ''Let go''! Yes! You are right! That is what Moses did (Exodus 14: 5-13). Moses and the children of Israel was told by the Lord to turn and camp before Pi Hahiroth which is between Migdol and the sea. When Pharaoh's heart was hardened, he made ready his chariot and took his people with him to pursue after the children of Israel. As the chilldren of Isreal lifted their eyes and saw their enemies are marching after them, they were afraid. Immediately, they cried out to the Lord and God answered. God told Moses to tell the peolpe ''Moses, tell the people to stand still and see the salvation of the Lord!l The word salvation here literally in Hebrew is Yeshua which means Jesus. So what God is saying, ''Stand still and see Jesus''. Now, the enemies that were meant to kill and threathen them were under the water and the children of Israel and Moses were on the other side. Our human thinking is that we don't just stand there, we must do something. However, God's way is we don't do something but we stand there and look to Jesus! Tha't is exactly what God wants us to do by looking at Jesus. When you are in the midst of you troubles, your pains or your difficulties, look to Jesus in His grace and He will gives you the solutions, health and wholeness, prosperity, wisdom, and MUCH MORE! Oh! Hallelujah!

Well! You may asked, If I don't put in afford, how can I grow spiritually? My friend, let's us look at the emphasis of Jesus in verse 28........how they grow: Look at the flowers, how they grow? You want to grow spiritually, you want to grow healthy, you want to grow prospers and you want to grow like the way God wants you to grow. Look at God's way.......they neither toil nor spin. Toil here literally in Greek means hard labor or working with stress which is the same word used in Matthew 11:28. However, these flowers don't toil. They just look beautiful by exposing themselves to the sun. God rains on them, sometimes people throw fertilizer and God shines on them and everything works to make the flowers grow beautifully. Wow! That is so beautiful, isn't it? That's is what God's ways are ...neither toil nor spin.......... "and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? When God clothes the lilies of the field, their clothing is their body and their body is their clothing which means He is talking about how to have a quality body. Don't worry about your life , my friend. Don't worry about your health, my friend. Have you seen lilies survive for a month. No way!, right? When a hot sun comes in summer, it withers. If God takes care of that which is temporal, how much more will He not clothes you, houses you and fills your house with every good things. Amen? My friend, stop worrying and God will feed you better than the birds. Stop worrying and God will clothes you better than Solomon and all his glory. Stop worrying and God will clothe you better than the lilies which is better clothed than Solomon and all his glory. It's time to let go, my friend and let God's supplies to flow in every area of your life! Amen!

A Sleeping Partner Who Benefits

In the world of business, sleeping or silent partners don't really work their sweat out but still take home huge profits. They are like the wife of the boxing champion. He gets badly beaten up to win the prize money. However, when he gets home, his wife takes it from him and says, ''Thank you very much, darling!''

Friend, do you know that in your covenant with God, you are like the boxer's wife - a sleeping partner?
When Abraham asked God how he would know for sure that he would inherit the land that God had promised him, God made a covenant with him. Nonetheless, instead of cutting the covenant with Abraham by walking in between the animal pieces with him, God put Abraham into a deep deep sleep and cut the covenant with our Lord Jesus.

In other words, Jesus took Abraham's place. he was perfect Man representing Abraham when He cut the covenant with His Father. By Substituting Abraham with Jesus, God was being gracious because if Abraham had done it, he would also have been responsible for keeping the covenant. Poor Abraham, being a mere man would fail. But God the Son can never fail! Abraham's blessings were therefore guaranteed because they did not depend on his performance but Jesus' performance. Abraham was literally a sleeping partner, a beneficiary of the covenant.

Today, God has also made a covenant with you, called the new covenant. And like Abraham, you are a sleeping partner because the new covenant was also cut between God the Father and God the Son at Calvary. You are simply a beneficiary of the new covenant. You enjoy all its benefits without having to work at keeping it. Jesus, your representative, has already fulfilled all the conditions on your behalf and because His obedience is perfect and His work is perfectly finished, the covenant blessings for you are guaranteed!

There is nothing left for you to do my friend, but everything for you is believe. For believing is receiving. There no need for you to work out your covenant of blessings. What you need is to rest in the Son's finished work and receive them by faith!

Choose The Good Part And Profit

Isaiah 48:17
17… “I am the Lord your God, who teaches you to profit, who leads you by the way you should go.

God instructs us for our own benefit. He wants us to profit in every area of our lives — health, finances, career, marriage and family relationships. The Bible says that it is God who teaches us to profit. And it is He who leads us in the way that we should go.

God always has our best interests at heart. We only have to sit at His feet, listen to His Word and just have fresh, daily communion with Him, and He will make our way prosperous.

But we are constantly bombarded with things to do every day, like sending the kids to school, attending a business meeting or making a sales presentation. Likewise, in church, there are just as many important things to attend to — ministering to the needy, reaching out to the lost and healing the sick. But you know what? All these things will be taken care of when we sit at Jesus’ feet and listen to His Word.

What was the Lord’s response to Martha’s complaint that her sister was sitting at His feet and listening to Him, instead of helping her with the many tasks? “Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things. But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her.” (Luke 10:41–42)

Yet, many of us are like Martha. We worry about many things. And we are so busy that we have no time to sit at Jesus’ feet to listen to His Word and enjoy communion with Him. When we fail to draw from Him, we end up running on our own strength, and relying on our own flesh and wisdom to get things done. Listen, you can never have a plan that is better than God’s!

My friend, do you want to be led by God’s wisdom and timing in your decision-making? Then, make it a point to choose the good part like Mary did. Spend time with Jesus, open your Bible and say, “Lord, speak to me.” You will find that your heavenly Father takes care of your troubles, and teaches and leads you to profit!

Your Advocate Always Wins Your Case

1 John 2:1
1My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.

If you want a glimpse of some real-life celestial drama, picture this: God the Father sits as Judge of the universe with Jesus Christ at His right hand, who is not only your High Priest, but also your Advocate.

When your accuser, the devil, comes along and says, “You have done this wrong and you have not done that right,” Jesus says, “Father, the devil is right, but My blood has paid for what the devil is accusing him of.”

Then the devil adds, “You have also not been reading the Bible or praying enough. And this morning, you told a lie.”

Again, Jesus will say, “Father, the devil has indeed reported correctly, but My blood has paid for all these failures.”

God the Father will then slam the gavel on the sound block and say, “Case dismissed! Next!”

You need to understand that God can justly declare you innocent and completely righteous because Jesus took your place at the cross, and shed His blood to pay for your sins and condemnation. (2 Corinthians 5:21) God is simply being faithful and just to what Christ has done.

When Jesus rose from the grave, He rose as your Advocate, your lawyer. But unlike most earthly lawyers who take on cases because it serves their interests and wallets, He is a lawyer who is personally interested in your happiness and well-being. Unlike earthly lawyers who are not caught up in the feelings and sufferings of their clients, Jesus went through great sufferings for you and paid with His own life so that you can receive all the blessings of God.

As your Advocate today, Jesus ensures that what He died and suffered to give you, you get! In heaven today, He defends and represents you to ensure that the healing, wholeness, protection and other blessings that He died to give you are enforced in your life. Beloved, have confidence in and rest in the ability of your Advocate!

Jesus — King And Lord Over The Storm

Matthew 14:27
27But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, “Be of good cheer! It is I; do not be afraid.”

Are you going through a dark, difficult moment in your life? Perhaps the storm just rages on with no let-up and you are trembling in fear. You feel that any time now, you may just cave in and go under because you cannot beat this storm.

Be comforted that Jesus sees what you are going through and He always comes to where you are in your darkest hour. He did that for His disciples one stormy night on the Sea of Galilee. Jesus came, walking on the stormy waters, walking on top of the problem that was threatening to overwhelm them. He is indeed the King and Lord over the storms!

When your eyes are on Christ, even though the storms are raging and the winds are blowing, you will know that you are above your troubles and circumstances. When people ask you how you are doing under the circumstances, tell them, “I am not under the circumstances. I am on top of them because my God is above all!”

Don’t be fearful. He will come to you walking on the stormy waters. Hear His comforting voice telling you, “Be of good cheer! It is I; do not be afraid.”

And as you behold Jesus, you become like Him. You will find yourself doing things you did not know you could do. You will, like Peter, walk on water. This happens when you are occupied with the person of Jesus, with His resources, love, wisdom, ability, power and majesty.

My friend, even during the times when you take your eyes off Jesus, He never takes His eyes off you. And when you cry out to Him, He will immediately stretch out His hand to catch hold of you. You will not go under.

There may be times that you are not able to find your way back. Jesus will then hold your hand and walk you back to the boat. And like Peter, you will realize that with your hand in His, the storm will come to a standstill!

My Jesus My King
